Ingredients
  

For the Wings
  • 1 lb chicken wings, split into flats and drumettes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil to help seasoning stick
  • salt and black pepper to taste
For the Dry Rub
  • 2 tsp aluminum-free baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika for mild smokiness
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder for depth of flavor
For Garnish and Serving
  • chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • ranch dressing or your favorite dipping sauce for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat your air fryer: Set it to 380°F (193°C) and let it heat for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prep the basket: Spray the air fryer basket lightly with cooking spray.
  3. Dry the wings thoroughly: Pat the wings dry with paper towels to remove all moisture.
  4. Season the wings: In a large mixing bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Arrange the wings: Place them in a single layer in the basket. Avoid overlapping.
  6. Cook: Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 10 minutes. Then increase to 400°F (204°C) and cook for another 6–8 minutes. Flip halfway through.
  7. Garnish and serve: Sprinkle with parsley and serve immediately with your chosen dipping sauce.

Notes

For frozen wings, pre-cook at 400°F for 8–10 minutes to thaw, drain moisture, pat dry, season, and then cook for 20–25 minutes flipping halfway.
Always use aluminum-free baking powder. Avoid stacking the wings for even crisping. Reheat leftovers in the air fryer at 375°F for 4–6 minutes.
